My latest Creation

I have taken some time to focus on a new 'project' lately. Its pretty time consuming and causes me to loose quite a bit of sleep, but so worth it. We had our third little boy last month. Isn't he adorable!?

Cherry Tote

I had a fun afternoon sewing this tote bag today. I think it turned out adorable with the cherry print and the red corduroy. This is such a universal size bag, its wonderful! My friend who I made my first tote bag for says that it is her new favorite bag. I made this one for my mom and can't wait to see how much she loves it. I think it is darling and SO my mom. She wanted her handles a little shorter to just carry not really go over the shoulder and I think it makes the bag look more balanced. The dimensions on this bag are 13.5 inches tall, 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep. It has seven pockets on the inside as well as a ton of space for all your other stuff! I can adjust pockets, handles, pretty much anything if you want me to make a custom bag for you. See the side panel for my contact information. And don't forget to have a wonderful day!!
Just a sampling of some of the things you can fit in this bag. This is a large three ring binder and a set of scriptures. With oodles of space left over!!

Project Mode

Lately I have been in 'project' mode as I am getting closer and closer to August and baby boy number three joining our family. With that said, I have been getting a lot done, but not a lot of posting of what I have been doing. So, without further adieu, My latest creations:

A cousin of mine is having her first little boy about a month after me and she was home visiting so we threw a surprise shower for her. My sister in law, mother in law and I went in on this gift for her. I made the bag and then we filled it with goodies. I may be a little biased, but I think she liked our gift the best! These bags really do make amazing gifts. I loved the variation with the fabric, I used more patterns on thie one and it made it have a fun personality all its own.

Just to give you an idea of the size of these bags. They are SO roomy! We filled her bag with some onsies (I cut some images out using my cricut and ironed them on and then stitche around them) diapers, a wipe case (of course matching) hand sanitizer, clippers,... the options to fill them are endless!

This diaper bag is for a friend that is due in just a few more days with her second little girl. Her husband wanted something without pink on it for those times that he would have to carry the bag. My friend came with me to pick out fabric and I love what we came up with! This was our happy medium for girly, but not too girly: an amazing orange and light blue paired with chocolate corduroy.I made this diaper bag a while ago with the other batch I forgot to take pictures of, my sister in law sent me the pictures so I could post them. The bulk of the fabric is the same as the one I made for our cousin, but look at the difference between the two!

This is the 'tote' bag I have been talking about. I made this for my friend who wanted a bigger bag than the pures, but not quite like the diaper bag. This is tall enough to hold a three ring binder and not have it poke out the top at all. It also has the usual pockets galore on the inside to hold all your smaller items you don't want lost at the bottom of the bag. She went with me to choose her fabrics and it was fun to make a bag with a colored corduroy instead of the neutrals I have been using. She inspired me to get some red that I will do with a cute black print in some time to come. The dimensions on this are 15 inches tall, 12 inches wide and 6 inches deep. She wanted me to do some flowers on the outside and I had fun experimenting with those. I added some green felt leaves to help tie it all together.

Diaper bag #1

This is one of the diaper bags I made and sent the other day. It is going to serve as a new church bag for our cousin. If you go to church with kiddos, you know that entails LOTS of stuff. Man... whish I could bring snacks and things to keep ME busy at church. Oh wait, I guess I do, they are called children!
I loved the bright colors and print on this bag. So much fun and it reflects the amazing personality of the cousin who will be using it.
I put an extra big pocket on the outside that is covered by the flap when the bag is closed. And my favorite feature of my bags... LOTS of inside pockets. I just love pockets, don't you?

Pink Paisley

I recently finished making a few purses and diaper bags and in my eagerness to send them to their new owners I forgot to take pictures. When I get them I will have to post them because they were pretty fun! This, however, was one of the purses I made for Tyson's cousin.
I am also making a new size of bag right now, more of a tote and can't wait to share that in the coming days when I finish!

What I've been up to

I had a few more custom orders come in last week and I always love it when they do cause it means I get to play with fabric!
This is really similar to one I had made for my sister before. The outside B&W wasn't available so I had to punt with this one. I really think it turned out nicely though!
This one is for a friend of ours and I love how it turned out. I really think it would be cute paired with reds as well. Maybe even a red bottom.
Back view. I love how fun this fabric is!

Pink and Brown for my cousin. I am really pleased with how it turned out, there were a lot of choices for pink and it was hard to narrow it down because this was my first pink one.
Inside. I really liked this stripe that we chose for her lining.

Darling Diaper Bag

I LOVE my newest creation. A few people have been asking if I was going to be making a diaper bag (myself included) and I finally had a reason to. My sister is attending a baby shower this weekend and wanted a super cute gift, so enter my remake of my purse into a diaper bag. What do you think? I was really pleased with how it turned out, especially since it was all from a picture in my head. There are eight pockets on the inside and one big pocket on the front, the flap keeps all your items nicely inside and the ties give it the perfect amount of structure. The dimensions are 12x15x7. I was pleased with the end result because it isn't a collosal bag, but you can fit a LOT of stuff into this! If you are interested in a diaper/messenger bag of your own let me know! I would love to make one for you.

Fresh Green & Brown

This one is a custom order for my cousin. I originally saw this fabric while shopping for other orders and loved it. I fought the urge to buy it that night but I went back and bought it a day or two later. I just had to have it! I am a huge sucker for green anyway, but this one was so fresh. So when my cousin asked for green, I was so excited to send her a picture of this fabric. I think the whole purse goes together so well, I will probably cry a little bit when I sent it on its way tomorrow. But I am much more excited for Laura to get her new purse! I hope you love it!
I still can't get over how many pockets these purses have! I have a spot for everything.

Purple birds $27

As I said in my previous post, I saw this fabric and just couldn't walk away from it. It was calling my name pretty loudly! I hope you like it too.
Birds are a popular print lately and I loved that this one brought in the same fabric print as the outside as well as a few other colors.
If you want to be the proud owner of this darling purse, let me know in a comment or email. I also have the same fabrics in blues and greens! Like I said, I fell in love with it!

Latest Batch of Purses

I had a few custom orders that I have been working on and another one that I just couldn't pass the fabric up at the store!

This first one is a camera bag for our cousin Carrie. I am incredibly in love with this one. I made it a little bit taller than the regular size bag so it will give her a little bit more room for protecting her camera.
She even requested a camera strap, so I made it to match the inside! And as you can see, I added a divider to separate sections for her camera and extra lens. Hope you love it Carrie! This one is for my photographer. I had to come up with some way to thank her, so I fixed up at purse that was below to match what she wanted a little more. You are amazing Dana! This one is for a friend from high school. I am excited to see how she likes it because I think it turned out darling. Here is the inside of Donna's.And my sister in law saw the other bag I had made out of this fabric and wanted a twin of it.
